Near the Mont Liban restaurant where we usually have lunch near the Champs-Elysées is a
drug dealer chocolate shop called Jadis et Gourmande (where we both have loyalty cards. How surprising). Located on the avenue Franklin D. Roosevelt, it sells very fine chocolates, possibly the best I’ve eaten in Paris.
When willpower is strong enough to keep me from going inside, I like to watch its windows, always beautifully and deliciously decorated. “But it’s Easter soon, I have to go in,” I thought to myself as I saw the fashionable chocolate eggs decorated with dresses, hats, buttons and SHOES! It was eggs modeling couture!
In its Défilé de Gourmandise collection for Easter (Pâques in French), Jadis et Gourmande presents six supermodel eggs, for men and women. I don’t know whether they’re all inspired by real couturiers, but the blue striped one is très Jean Paul Gaultier, non? I also snapped photos of the other haute eggs.
